concussion rehabilitation

A concussion is a traumatic brain injury. Concussions can be caused by a blow to the head or the body. In fact, most whiplash motions are potential concussions.

Although you might not see outward signs of injury, this does not mean a concussion hasn't occurred. Following any sort of injury that could potentially leave you concussed, you need to be assessed.

At OptikIQ, we use cutting edge Cognitive Visual Perceptual Training Technology to accurately assess - and more importantly - treat your concussion symptoms and systematically improve your brain function. You may have been concussed if you ...

  • Can’t recall events prior to or after a hit or fall

  • Seem dazed or stunned

  • Forget an instruction, are confused about an assignment or position, or unsure of the game, score, or opponent

  • Move clumsily

  • Answer questions slowly

  • Lose consciousness (even briefly)

  • Show mood, behavior, or personality changes

  • Have a headache

  • Have ringing in the ears

  • Are nauseous

  • Vomit

  • Are fatigued or drowsy

  • Experience blurry vision

  • As you recover you can gradually return to non-strenuous activities
